Ingredients of a good gift

Thoughtfulness: The thought behind the gift can mean as much if not more than the gift itself!

Caring: Someone has to care to go through the process of picking out a gift.

Lots of Love: It does not have to be your spouse to be someone that you love and care about!

Positiveness: The simple act of wanting to give a gift is a positive motive.

Quote: “Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give.”

It is as simple as that!

Apply this recipe to all gift giving and you will always have the best results.

Know someone who is having a rough time?

Add a little perseverance, hope, inspiration, and cheer to the recipe.

Help people by letting them know someone cares. It can make all the difference to someone’s life when they know people are cheering them on!!!

Whether you know someone who’s having a bad day, bad week, or even a bad month, giving a gift to let them know you are thinking about them can be just the thing to help them ‘hang in there’.

The whole world has been having a rough year because of the pandemic, so we could all use a bit of a pick me up.

It could be the neighbor, friend, acquaintance, maybe even the essential coffee barista who serves you your morning coffee.

Because of the world wide pandemic, too many people have been feeling the effects of the isolation. With social distancing and everyone wearing masks, simple things like a smile, don’t even work. I mean who can see a smile through a mask?

So simple gifts, positivity, and a thank you can truly go a long way.

Quote: “Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.” – Bil Keane

Did you know that positive emotions can reduce the impact of stress?

It sure makes sense!

“Tugade, Fredrickson, and Barrett (2004) found that positive emotions moderate the impact of stressful events on coping ability, and in turn, psychological and physical well-being.

Additionally, positive emotions have been found to moderate reactivity to stress and mediate recovery from stress (Ong, Bergeman, Bisconti, & Wallace, 2006). Have you ever felt relieved, despite a recent stressor, by a good laugh with friends? That’s because joy floods your body with mood-enhancing and stress-reducing hormones.”

A Poem About Hope

You gave me something that no one had before

You gave me peace

Like a River that had

been rushing, pulled by the current for too long

You made my waters still

I found rest in your arms

  2. I love your post, thanks so much for sharing. Your gift ideas are absolutley just the thing I have been looking for for certain family members who could use a lift right now. And with Christmas fast approaching it is so timely. I have bookmarked your site for reference when thinking of gift ideas. Do you have ideas for teens or preteens?

  3. I feel inspired looking at the inspirational gifts. I personally like the t-shirt which say you may see me struggle but you will never see me quit and then the books: chicken soup for the soul (I have heard alot about it!) Also the yearly of positive thinking.

Thank you for recommending us the amazing and inspiring gifts list to give to our family and friends.
